My Question about the Magic Kingdoms new hub

Last week, the Disney Parks Blog shared a video giving an overview of some work they will be doing in the Hub of Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom, the video ends with a "view from 1000 feet" or map style shot, in that shot you can see that the areas of waterway closest to Casey's Corner and The Plaza restaurant both are either covered up or filled in, and it makes me wonder if perhaps they will make the existing bridge that crosses the water into a pedestrian underpass as that would be a natural, and create a fantastic way to get across the park during parades.
